Alexander Scott walked into the area from Melbourne, and set up his tent.
Soon Ann, his young wife to be, arrived from Scotland. Alex set up a small slab home, with an earthen floor. Here Ann began a Sunday School.
A few more settlers arrived. They procured land for a church and school.
Land was purchased in Grant Road.
A Presbyterian Church building was erected in 1917
The numbers attending grew, and a modern multi use building was erected in Jones Road
